play a key role in the lives of young people

TRAIN is a youth work charity based in Didcot and Wallingford. We support young people aged 8 to 18, especially those who are in need, disadvantaged or vulnerable.

We deliver front-line youth work services across three core pillars:

Place-Based, Open-Access Provision

TRAIN runs open-access youth clubs and holiday programmes in South Oxfordshire, offering  activities and a safe space with support from dedicated youth workers.

Detached and Outreach

TRAIN’s youth workers engage young people on the streets and in parks, building relationships, providing positive influence, and connecting them to other services.

Targeted Mentoring

TRAIN provides one-to-one mentoring, including specific support groups like our brilliant SHOUT! group for LGBTQ+ young people, ensuring tailored guidance for young people referred by schools and partners.
